Come join us! As a result of internal growth, we are hiring a casual Recreational Assistant. Pay Grid: $26.87 - $27.85 Union: CUPE Under the leadership of the Recreationist, the Recreation Assistant plans and conducts activity programs for the Continuing Care Floor. These programs provide a social milieu and address the collective needs of the Residents. Such programs will be open to all Residents and will be offered by the Recreation Assistant with the assistance of volunteers, i.e. large group entertainment, parties, bingos, sing songs and games. The Assistant will assist the Recreationist in running specialized group treatment programs.
QualificationsQualifications: Diploma in Recreation or post secondary diploma in related field. Able to work in multi-disciplinary setting. Enthusiastic and highly motivated Experience in working with and programming for seniors. Able to assist with wheelchair transport Ability to use active listening skills Day, evening and weekend work as per schedule of Resident activities.
