Come join us! As a result of our internal movements at RVH, we are hiring Permanent, Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse with our Complex Care Unit.
Pay Grid: $37.87 - $39.02/hour
The ideal candidate will have experience with working with the elderly and patients with a chronic illness, and asepsis and medication certification. You will have your current CPR certification.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• The Registered Practical Nurse provides comprehensive, quality patient/family centered health care services. • The Registered Practical Nurse utilizes the Nursing Process to assess patient care requirements in order to contribute to the formulation of the initial care plan to implement, adjust and evaluate the patient care plan. • The Registered Practical Nurse makes decisions consistent within their scope of practice that promotes ownership and demonstrates professionalism and is accountable through competent, ethical and safe practices.
• The Registered Practical Nurse assumes responsibility to maintain competency and engage in reflective practice. • The Registered Practical Nurse assumes responsibility for maintenance of knowledge and skills. • The Registered Practical Nurse will work in a collaborative manner.
QualificationsQualifications:
• Medication certification. • Asepsis certification. • Technical competence and good assessment skills. • Current Certification in C.P.R. at Basic Rescuer Level (or equivalent). • Previous Medical/Surgical experience and working with the elderly. • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and to perform duties in the physical demands of work area. • Availability to work all shifts normally occurring on posted schedule as required. • Demonstrates effective use of a computer for EHR documentation purposes. • Competency with Medical-Surgical Skills Checklist
