As a result of internal growth at RVH, we are hiring a Permanent Part-Time Procurement Coordinator with our Materials Management Department.
Pay Grid: $29.15 - $33.51 /hour
Working under the direction of the Manager of Materials Management, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for purchasing, receives and checks supplies delivered to the Hospital, issues supplies to departments as required, and posts inventory and receiving into the computerized materials management information system. The Procurement Coordinator is also responsible for the organization, inventory and copying of a wide variety of forms. Ensures that all supplies and receiving’s are delivered to user departments in a timely manner (right supplies, right quantity, right location and right time).
Duties will include but are not limited to: • Monitors inventories and informs supervisor of over/under stock situations. • Processes purchase orders for inventory and non- inventory items. Runs inventory routine. • Ability to work in a computerized inventory management system, required. • Requisitions supplies to replenish stock items. • Posts items ordered in computer and maintain perpetual inventory records on all items in materials management information system. • Receives shipments and signs for materials received following inspection. • Verifies that goods received are in good condition and that they conform to purchase order specifications. • Completes receiving’s into computer. • Follows-up with suppliers on back orders and short shipments. • Unloads and unpacks shipments for placement in appropriate storage areas. • Stores goods on shelves in a systematic and orderly fashion so as to facilitate their subsequent issue. (FIFO first in first out) stock rotation left to right front to back. • Stores dietary supplies and issues on regular supply days or as required. • Issues supplies to departments and delivers on regular supply days. • Maintains Top Up carts on prescheduled routines. • Delivers direct charge items to departments when received. • Assists with major material management inventories. • Maintains material management filing and record system. • Maintains, organizes and completes the photocopying of a wide variety of forms. • Other related duties as required.
QualificationsQualifications: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Procurement / Inventory Management / Contract Management • Minimum one (1) year college certificate in Business, Accounting or Procurement-related field. Graduate of an approved course in Materials Management through Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA), National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), or Purchasing Management association of Canada (PMAC) would be an asset. • Familiarity with contract law and public tendering processes. • Knowledge of Great Plains & GHX software is a definite asset; knowledge of equivalent software is an asset. • Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is an asset. • Ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment. • Ability to prioritize and carry out various job functions within several departments, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills (oral/written). • Computer skills related to Microsoft Excel and knowledge of computerized inventory management system required (Intermediate Excel experience required – e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP – a test will be administered).
