DescriptionThe Medical Affairs
Coordinator is a role that combines physician recruitment, onboarding and
ongoing physician support. Reporting to the VP People and Chief of Staff, you
will work closely with our physicians to ensure recruitment, credentialing and
re-credentialing, physician evaluation, orientation, successful learner
rotations and compliance with Hospital By-Laws and Rules and Regulations are

Duties will include but are not limited to: · Credentialing and re-credentialing all physicians annually · Prepare agendas, packages, take minutes, schedule speakers and track actions for key physician meetings (Medical Advisory Committee and Medical Staff) · Liaise with medical schools undergraduate and postgraduate offices, ROMP, ERMEP and other organizations to coordinate medical student and resident rotations · Prepare and monitor from a compliance perspective, all supervision arrangements, return of service commitments, ED mentorship, physician leader contracts & facilitate evaluations · Ensure physician contracts are maintained and up to date · Support with organizing physician-specific events · Maintain and regularly update physician job postings on HFOJobs.ca, medical school sites, and other sites as appropriate · Conduct exit interviews and check-ins with new physicians · Ensure RVH attends all key physician recruitment fairs, liaise with partner organizations e.g., Ontario Health Team (OHT) around opportunities to collaborate · Track and regularly follow up on/check in with all physician leads including students, residents, locums, those who came to job fairs, and those who applied to job postings · Support Foundation Director in organizing accommodations, suppers and other recruitment activities · Responsible for annual reporting to Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and other bodies around physicians as appropriate and required · Compile statistics and complete special projects as required QualificationsEquivalent experience in lieu of
formal qualifications will be considered. · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience · 2-3 years’ experience in health care is an asset · Proactive, flexible, organized, excellent at building
relationships · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both
written and oral · Strong time management skills and ability to achieve
objectives · Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced
environment · Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint · Typing speed 50 wpm · Access to a vehicle for occasional travel; occasional
evening/weekend work (e.g., for events) may be required
