RVH receives approval to proceed with tender offer
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital has received approval from the Ministry of Health to proceed to tendering Phase II of our major expansion—construction of the new regional dialysis centre.
“For our patients, their families, our staff and physicians, this is wonderful news,” says Randy Penney, RVH President and CEO.
This investment will add 23,000 square feet to the hospital’s existing infrastructure to ensure that people of Renfrew and the entire County will continue to have access to health care services closer to home.
The call for tenders will take place immediately. Post tender, with the selection of a contractor, it is anticipated construction will take up to two years to complete.
“These are exciting times for our hospital and patients throughout the County of Renfrew who will benefit from this very significant investment, in excess of 12 million dollars, “ notes Penney.
In addition to the contributions of many RVH staff members and physicians, the Champlain LHIN and the Ontario Renal Network, staff at the Ministry of Health also worked hard on the project and their efforts are greatly appreciated.
“To everyone involved, thank you for your contributions on a job well done,” says Penney.
