Goal:
To enable mid-life and older women to enhance their quality of life and make informed choices with a focus on the prevention of disease and the promotion of health.

Healthcare should be physically, socially, and culturally accessible to all women of Renfrew County.
Education and empowerment are essential for women to achieve their full health potential.
Provides:
- A non-judgmental, holistic approach to the client in a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- A key link to pre-existing services at Renfrew Victoria Hospital for women including Ontario Breast Screening Program, diagnostic mammography, bone densitometry, osteoporosis clinic, diagnostic ultrasound, cardiac stress testing, echocardiography and the sexual assault/partner abuse care center.
- A multi-disciplinary approach to the client, including family physicians, nurse practitioners and registered nurses. The healthcare providers will consult with visiting medical specialists, dieticians, physiotherapists, pharmacists etc. as necessary.
- Education, counseling, physical assessment, screening investigations and treatment services for a comprehensive spectrum of mid-life and older women’s health needs. These include reproductive health (menopause, hormone replacement, sexual health) physical health (heart disease, osteoporosis, breast cancer), and mental health (anxiety, depression, abuse).
- Access to other healthcare providers in the community including Renfrew County and District Health Unit Healthy Living Partnership, Community Care Access, Mental Health Services of Renfrew County etc.
- Information on complementary therapies in combination with traditional medical therapies.
When:
The first Wednesday of every month. Early evening hours will be available on a rotating basis.

Women who are midlife and beyond.
How:
Appointments can be made through your family physician, or women can self-refer by calling the Renfrew Victoria Hospital at 432-4851 and booking an appointment with the Women’s Wellness Clinic.
What To Bring:
Recent mammogram, bone density, pap smear and blood work results including cholesterol if available
Group Education Sessions:
Evening group education sessions will be offered on regular basis. These will be advertised in the local newspaper and at the hospital. The sessions will cover a wide variety of current and interesting topics. Suggestions are welcome!
